Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev "On measures to create an environment of intolerance towards corruption, to radically reduce corruption factors in state and public administration, and to broadly involve the public in this process" dated July 6, 2021, No. UP-6257, special attention is currently paid in the country to eliminating the causes and conditions for corruption. In the new Uzbekistan, serious organizational and legal reforms are being carried out in the fight against bribery. As a result of the ongoing reforms, the implementation of the international standard ISO 37001:2016 has begun in state organizations.
STARS International University is the first among state, non-state, and international universities in Uzbekistan to begin implementing ISO 37001:2016 - "Anti-bribery management systems – Requirements with guidance for use."
As is known, the university pays special attention to further improving its activities and enhancing the qualifications and quality of work of its employees. In this regard, a presentation of the international standard ISO 37001:2016 was organized.
During the presentation, the importance of implementing this particular standard was emphasized, along with the need to prevent corruption in the university's activities, maintain transparency in relationships between students and faculty during studies, and between the higher education institution and its subcontractors, as well as partners.
